Didcot Emergency Foodbank
Our churches support the Didcot Emergency Foodbank (DEF), a practical, community based project in central Didcot. It aims to provide short term relief by giving food to people in crisis in our local area and Harwell and Chilton churches collect donations of non-perishable food on behalf of DEF. If you would like to help the Foodbank in this way, you can bring items to any service in our churches or give them to Vicky, the Administrator, who works in St Matthew's Church Office, Harwell, usually on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. See here for requested items.
DEF is a project of Didcot Baptist Church with support from South Oxfordshire District Council. Further information about it can be found here along with a list of the currently most urgently needed items, although all donations are very welcome. You can see their latest update here.
If you or someone you know is in crisis, DEF can give three days' worth of food for each member of the household in exchange for a referral form. Referrals can be made
