Exciting news from Christians Against Poverty!
As a partner church of the Didcot and Wallingford Area CAP Debt Centre we would like to share our latest news and ask you to pray for the changes happening in our Debt Centre.
Sadly Liberty Joseph (Centre Manager) has now left and will be moving to Holmer Green near High Wycombe where her husband Amal is taking up the role of pastor of the Baptist Church. We wish them and their family well as they settle into this new place.
We are delighted that Melanie Shields will be taking on the role of Centre Manager having spent 4 years as a Debt Coach for the Centre.
Following recent interviews, we have recruited Julie Hobbs as Debt Coach responsible primarily for the Wallingford Area. We are all excited for her to start at the beginning of June. Julie is looking forward to visiting the Wallingford/Cholsey churches over the next couple months to give you the chance to meet and pray for her.
Lastly we are thrilled that 3 more clients have become Debt Free bringing the total to 112!
They have been working hard to pay off their debts over the last 5 or 6 years and we are so pleased for the freedom this will bring to their lives.
Thank you for all your support. As you pray for our Debt Centre’s future as we continue to support clients and move into this new exciting chapter, please also pray for the work of CAP nationally as this year we are celebrating 30 years of striving to end poverty in the UK.
